Dr. Carlos Marois

Biography

Dr. Carlos Marois began his career as a urologist in 1998. He began his career in the public sector, practicing and perfecting his skills before moving into the private sector and opening his own clinics, where he finally had the opportunity to implement new and revolutionary technologies. These technologies allow him to make more precise and efficient diagnoses. These include transperianal prostate biopsy, cystoscopy and flowmetry.

Always with the well-being of his patients in mind, he has a keen interest in minimally invasive surgeries under local anesthesia, which he performs in his clinics in fully equipped surgical rooms set up to make the experience as pleasant as possible for all those who need to undergo treatment or surgery. Operations under general anesthesia are performed at the Centre de Chirurgie Mont-Royal (CCMR) in Montreal, the only private hospital in Quebec.

He was the first urologist to acquire a private urological operating room with floroscopy. Dr. Marois is able to perform all endoscopic surgeries. Dr. Marois specializes in circumcision for infants and children, as well as adults. For older patients, he uses a surgical glue technique that ensures utraesthetic results. He is also one of the first urologists in the private sector to use penile implants for erectile dysfunction, a problem he battles with various methods just as he does for female sexual dysfunction.

Dr. Paul Ouellette

Biography

Dr. Ouellette graduated in urological medicine in 1997 and began his practice in various hospitals in New Brunswick before moving to Quebec in 2001. Very early in his career, he became interested in continuing medical education. His curiosity and thirst for learning led him to work with the Association des urologues du Québec for almost 10 years to share his knowledge and discoveries with the scientific community and family physicians in Quebec through various conferences.

Intrinsically linked to continuing education, medical research is another field of interest for the specialist, to which he devotes time and effort. A principal investigator in more than 30 research protocols, Dr. Ouellette’s research interests include advanced prostate cancer, overactive bladder, prostate-related urinary tract obstruction and nocturia.

In order to educate and guide his peers in their surgical procedures, he participates in numerous consultative meetings. Ultimately, it is the patients who benefit from these advances as the treatments they receive become more effective and less invasive.

Professional and conscientious, Dr. Ouellette welcomes each of his patients with a reassuring human approach that makes it possible for everyone to receive the appropriate treatment or undergo the necessary surgery with confidence. Finally, although he treats a wide range of urological and sexual health problems, he stands out for his mastery of solutions for erectile dysfunction and testosterone deficiency in men. He has extensive experience in laser surgery for kidney and bladder stones and prostate problems.

Dr. Franck Sajous

Biography

Having completed his doctorate in urology at McGill University in Montreal, Dr. Sajous began his practice in 1998 with all the enthusiasm he is known for. Committed to his profession, which he constantly updates in order to offer a variety of state-of-the-art care adapted to each of his patients, he has discovered his particular interests in his specialty.

Since joining the profession, he has participated in a multitude of research protocols in Quebec, Canada and internationally, including in urologic oncology. And his contribution to research does not end here: he continues to be as passionately involved in it as he was at the beginning, while devoting a good part of his time to teaching, which is of major importance for the improvement of knowledge and care provided by physicians. For this reason, he regularly offers lectures and tutoring services to general practitioners and teaches undergraduate and graduate medical students at Laval University.

Today, as head of the Urology Department at the Centre hospitalier régional de Lanaudière, and for more than 10 years, he has succeeded in developing, with the help of a close-knit team, a lively and friendly Urology Department that is on the lookout for the latest technological advances. Without a doubt, Dr. Sajous’ enthusiasm is unanimously appreciated by his colleagues as well as by those who consult him to recover their health, whether it be for prostate cancer, sexual and erectile dysfunction, infertility and many other urological problems.
