Dr. Louis-Olivier Gagnon

Specialty : Urological surgeon specializing in difficult cases.

Dr. Louis-Olivier Gagnon is a urologist originally from the Quebec region. He obtained his doctorate in medicine from Laval University in 2006, then completed his residency in urology at McGill University in 2011. During his last year at McGill, he won the Douglas D. Morehouse award for outstanding resident. He then continued his training by completing a uro-oncology fellowship at the University of British Columbia in 2012, under the supervision of Dr. Martin Gleave, a world-renowned authority in the field. During this training, Dr. Gagnon learned the most advanced techniques in urology, such as laparoscopy and robot-assisted surgery.

For more than 10 years, Dr. Gagnon has been practicing urology in the Quebec region, where he performs a high volume of very complex surgeries. Additionally, he completed training in microsurgery for vasovasostomy and vasoepididymostomy at Cornell University, the world’s center of excellence in infertility. His expertise in urology is thus recognized by his peers and he is often consulted for difficult or complex cases.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Gagnon has also been involved in teaching as a clinical lecturer at Laval University, has also carried out clinical research and has published several scientific articles in internationally renowned journals.
